When you fence Epee, you want to try to avoid being hit on any part on your body, which can be difficult at times to since you can hit your opponent below the waist floor shots happen a fair amount and one of the top rules is don''t touch the floor because it stops anything from happening because the judge will set the action to start form there and it can really throw off your mojo if you are in a groove with nice parries, etc. When fleshing your opponent, you need to avoid running into them or their blade because that can be a yellow card if they lose balance, and it isnt very sportsman like to bump people. If infighting, dont try to pull hold or deter their blade because that is a yellow card also. and since any part of the human body (yes everything) is a target their is no rul against "Covering the Target area"like as in Foil because if you cover your chest with your arm they can hit your arm and score the point.
